The Capital Trail is for everyone! With that being said, we want to be sure all Trail users are safe while on the Capital Trail! We recently updated our Trail Etiquette List. Our goal is to make sure cyclists, runners, walkers, skaters, etc. are on the same page. The most important thing to remember when you’re out on the Trail is to be respectful and alert. One of our Trail Ambassadors, Chan, likes to remind us that the “Trail is dangerous because it is so safe.” This couldn’t be closer to the truth! The Trail is a 52 mile multi-use Trail that is separated from the road way. But just because the Trail is separated from the cars, does not mean it doesn’t have its own hazards! The Trail has hundreds of users everyday, it can get pretty busy. The Trail is a great amenity in our region and we love seeing the community work together to make it an enjoyable space for everyone!
